CLARKS HILL LAKE
J. Strom Thurmond Lake and Dam at Clarks Hill is a 70,000-acre Army Corp of Engineers impoundment on the Savannah River above Augusta. Perfect for boating, swimming, and fishing.


SAVANNAH RAPIDS PARK
This Park, dedicated by the Columbia County Commission to "Buddy" Gibbs, is a small playground located on the grounds of the Savanna Rapids Pavilion and the Historic Augusta Canal Head gates. Best suited for toddlers, the park is a safe and clean place to bring small children.


LAUREL AND HARDY MUSEUM AND VISITORS INFORMATION CENTER

CENTRE AT EVANS
4471 Washington Road, Evans. The Wal-Mart Supercenter may be the big draw to this shopping complex, but Radio shack, Payless ShoeSource, and women's apparel retailer Cato and Peppermill Restaurant have their customers, too.  The Centre is also home to cellular phone, hair and beauty suppliers.


MULLINS CROSSING
4227 Washington Road,  Evans. This shopping center is close to Club Car. It features Target, Kohl's, Marshalls, Ross, Babies 'R' Us, OfficeMax, La-Z-Boy, Petco, and Chick-fil-A with other stores following through the spring of 2006.
